This morning about 8:00 a.m., as Lynda and I drove by Ronald Compton's farm, where we saw the 8 Bobolinks yesterday, we found them again sitting on a wire fence. This time there were 10. From what I'm seeing on the different listserves the Bobolinks are on the move everywhere. This evening just after darkness had fallen I heard a Whip-poor-will fairly close by. Suddenly it gave about three "Whip-poor-will" calls in very rapid succession and got quiet. I never heard it after that. These spring birds are great. Roger Mayhorn Compton Mt
