Mollie, Good to hear from you. The bird in your photos is a Summer Tanager.
The large beak and the overall greenish-yellow color are the good field
marks.

I can't decide what this bird is. Any ideas? It's probably so simple...
It's really dry here and a number of birds have been stopping by the pond
to drink. There are a lot of migrants coming through here in NW Alabama
(Florence) right now. Hope all is well there with everyone.
