Yesterday, we had three new spring species here on the mountain. I heard our first Wood Thrush singing. He was in full voice this morning also. Our first Rose-breasted Grosbeak, a male, spent a good part of the day at the feeder, and while I was working in the backyard a Yellow-throated Vireo was singing in the trees at the edge of the yard. It's great to get to listen to the different species while doing yard work. Roger Mayhorn Compton Mt
