I had an outstanding morning birding Phipps Bend. The best part of the day was when I was watching a Northern Waterthrush thru my binoculars a Sora came walking right into my field of view. What a surprise. Oh, and there was a Bald Eagle flyover! Total species for the morning was 69. Following are the highlights: Osprey Bald Eagle (immature) Virginia Rail (flushed 1, heard 1) Sora Wilson's Snipe White-eyed Vireo Yellow-throated Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Wood Thrush Louisiana Waterthrush Northern Waterthrush Prothonotary Warbler Common Yellowthroat Magnolia Warbler Yellow Warbler Palm Warbler Yellow-breasted Chat Lincoln's Sparrow (first time I observed at this location) Summer Tanager Roger Lemaster==========================================================Mailing List For Buchanan County Bird Club website: www.bcbirdclub.org Archives: http://www.freelists.org/archives/bcbirdclub =========================================================ministrative contact: donc@xxxxxxxxxxxxx =========================================================
