I once found one in utah that had landed on a farm wagon. They must drink 
occasionally like we do!

This pied-billed grebe landed in the parking lot here at Carter Machinery in 
Oakwood.  After an educational session with my coworkers, we managed to steer 
it through a gate and into the river.  He/she seemed to be fine.
