Rick Fridel, an excellent birder and photographer posted that there was a nice assortment of shorebirds at Sand Hollow State Park here in Southern Utah. One species being Baird's Sandpiper (see Rick's photo) that is a life bird for me. I wasn't disappointed to find 6 Baird's, several Westerns. In addition, there were 4 Avocets, 52 Black necked Stilts, and 23 White Faced Ibis. I guess migration is getting a good start here in Utah. Dan Kendrick
