Greetings Bird Watchers, As usual, the snow has produced good numbers of birds in the yard. We've had lots of Goldfinches, Doves, Juncos, and Blue Jays. We also have had White-breasted Nuthatch, Northern Cardinal, Downy Woodpecker, Carolina Wren, Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Song Sparrow, and our FOS Fox Sparrow. A trip into town produced lots of White-crowned Sparrows. We saw well over 100 which would be in the record territory for this species for the Russell County CBC. Hopefully they'll all show themselves next weekend. Stay warm & good birds to all, Jerry
