Dr. Ashely Peele, the coordinator for the Virginia Breeding Bird Atlas
(VABBA), will be presenting a program/workshop on how to conduct breeding
bird surveys and how to enter birds on e-bird for the VABBA at the BCBC
meeting on Monday, April 10. The meeting will be at the Buchanan County
Public Library in Grundy at 6:00 p.m.
Dr. Peele hopes to have members of the Russell County and Buchanan County
bird Clubs present for the meeting. More birders are needed to help with
this five year breeding bird survey. The VABBA began last year, and some of
us who are members of these clubs are already taking part. It is an
interesting and fun project to take part in.
