Hi ALL
With the holiday weekend Annie and I had thought about traveling up to the
north coast and lake watch hoping to see some jaegers. A long tailed jaeger
was reported at Findlay Reservoir and we decided to try for the sure thing.
The Long-tailed Jaeger was spectacular riding the waves of wind , kiting on the
currents as the wind rolled over the dike, silhouetting against the blue sky.
Biggest Wow of the day was being up close and personal with the Long tailed
Jaeger. Most interesting bird behavior was watching a Belted Kingfisher beat a
perch into a pulp before swallowing it. Other birds are listed below:
