Yesterday evening, my nephew and I took his bulldog, Hoss, for a little
drive... We drove up, Route 610, Conaway Creek... At the foot of the mountain,
heading over to the Breaks Interstate Park, something small and black ran
across the road in front of us... At first, I thought I was a small dog...
Then, I quickly realized it wasn't... When we got closer, there was another
one... There were two baby bears cubs... They were so small and cute and jet
black... They must have just come out of the den... We didn't see momma bear,
but she must have been near... I stopped for a moment and tried to reach around
the back of the car for my camera, but they started going back into the tree
line, out of sight... And I wasn't about to get out of the car.
