Kevin, Boy, do I remember that bit of news. And I would suggest that
it was not "cooler heads" that prevailed, so much as a bunch of us
raising angry objections to inviting a man who supported cruelty and
violence against minorities in the name of "Keeping the Peace". True,
his bully boys had never beaten up a blind man or woman, but as the
old poem reminds us..."then they came for me".
Joe Arpaio's pardon by the president of these 50 United States, is a
crystal clear message to Lawmen that "Brother Joe" and his methods are
looked upon with favor.
And by the way Kevin, I'm still hard pressed to be civil to a number
of the members of WCB who wrote me privately, suggesting that I should
keep my nose out of GDUI business.
...as if that would ever happen...
And finally, it's good to know that you are still on the list. Hope

luncheon speaker. Problem was, as best as I can recall, nobody knew about
it, not even most of the GDUI board. There were only two or three people

prevailed and he was uninvited. Supposedly he was coming to speak about his
efforts in animal control, or something, but he probably would have been as
apt as Trump to wander off script and become very political. Luckily, it
didn't happen.
