People really do think that. When I still lived in the apartment building in
Westbury, there was a front desk in the lobby and the only white guy who ever
worked at that desk was Dave, a Jewish guy, probably in his late fifties or
early sixties who had MS, which wasn't apparent to anyone, and who was probably
on disability. But he was a middle income guy whose wife worked as a speech
pathologist. Her family was Orthodox, so he became Orthodox too. His sons had
attended a yeshiva (jewish parochial school, and made their obligatory visits
to Israel. I can't remember when it was, but at some point, I think that
Bloomberg was considering running for president and Dave thought that he'd be a
great candidate because he was a successful businessman. His wealth made that
obvious to Dave. If you're wealthy, that means you're intelligent, resourceful,
and hard working and you'll obviously be a good president. Take a poll and I
bet you'll find that a lot of people agree.

Washingtonians are happily supporting some of the worlds richest individuals.
I say "happily" because I am hearing no complaints from neighbors or on the
Media. I have yet to figure out whether it is because we've been so brain
washed that we really do believe that people get rich because they are smarter
and work harder, or is it because we all hold out hope that we might one day
strike it rich.
Frankly, I'm sick and tired of supporting a layer of worthless Souls who not
only grab my money, but look down on me, as well.
