Agreed, Miriam.
But Donald Trump is just one of the more successful BS 'ers. There
are oodles of Donald Trump clones out there.
With our constant drift toward the Right, and the morphing of
Capitalism into Corporate Capitalism, and the growing numbers of
Libertarians...whether they go under that name or not, we are in the
later half of a process that has been around since the days of the
Rugged Individuals who pulled themselves up by their own bootstraps.
But over the past 70 years it has begun to spiral out of control.
I remember back when I was 14 years old I began going with my dad to
gatherings of business owners, mostly in the Steel and Aluminum
fabricating business. I was there as, "Hey you, boy, bring me another
sandwich!" These men were the forerunners of Donald Trump. They were
pushy, mouthy, mean Spirited, back stabbing, double crossing, male
chauvinist pigs of the rankest order. These men...all White, joked
with one another, slapped each other on the back, praised one another
for their clever accomplishments(which I called Business Theft).
Then, as they drifted toward the parking lot, those left behind began
to cut them to shreds.
And by the way, Dad was there as Staff, not as one of the Good Old Boys.
Some years back, when I first saw Donald Trump on TV, doing an
interview for some new hotel/casino, I told myself that I knew that
man. Donald Trump is a composite of all of those "successful"
businessmen from those late 40's and early 50's.

Well, if Americans had been involved in our government and its election
process, we would have refused to endorse the 2018 election.
Everything from Gerrymandering to purging voter registrations to out and out
lies.
But as long as money votes, and First Class big money out votes human
Citizens, it won't matter if we dump trump or not. His Trumpsters have
already run wholesale through our Federal Departments, and he is stacking
the courts with judges who will ensure that the average American has no
ability to have his/her day in court.
Remember the song, "Bye, Bye Miss American Pie"? I think he was singing
farewell to our American way of life. And by the way, that American way of
life was not within the reach of a majority of Americans.
