My theory is that the American Empire's Ruling Class focuses on the
short term profits and benefits, in the belief that they will be able
to handle the long term events.
The other thing is that in the minds of the Empire, any person, group
of persons, or any nation that goes against the Empire's will, is the
enemy of the day.  .
Remember the "American Fries"?
Speaking of reprisals that are meaningless, following the bombing of
Pearl Harbor, many Americans cleaned their knickknack shelves of all
the cheap little Japanese knickknacks that they had already bought
long before the war broke out.
Weird thinking, but what would we expect from having such weird
propaganda constantly being shoved down our throats.

I heard some of this on Democracy Now, earlier  this morning.
Looks like while the American Empire was marching victoriously into Iraq,
amid the cheering multitude of grateful Iraqis(humor), the Iranians were
quietly picking up the pieces.
The tragic loss of human lives since the "Fool's Mission" of Bush I, and the
"Bigger and better than Daddy's war" of Bush the Lessor, was accentuated by
the pardons just granted by Donald(the Joker is Wild)Trump to three
murderers.
"All rise and sing with me: Onward White Christian soldiers.  Marching in
blind Faith.
Led by God Almighty, "Vengeance is mine, He saith."
And everyone said, "Amen!"

Once we determined their significance — the reports detail the

collaboration.
