Miriam,

Yesterday, Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiators announced they had
agreed on a final draft of the terrible trade deal.

In other words, after several years, corporations are ready to take the TPP
to Congress.

Now the TPP fight kicks into high gear.

Tell

p> your members of Congress that you expect them to vote "no" on the TPP.

The mainstream media might make it sound like the TPP is done. But it's just
the negotiations that are done. The deal would still need to be approved by
Congress before the TPP nightmare could become a reality.

This is our key window for action. Concerned citizens from labor, faith,
youth, senior, environmental, LGBT and other groups will join together for
the next stage of our campaign:

An all-out offensive to get our representatives to vote "no" on the TPP.

Tell

zsp> your representative and senators they must vote down the TPP.

All of the work we've already done to delay the TPP and its Fast Track
mechanism means that a congressional vote on the TPP (if it ever comes)
would be right in the middle of election season, when politicians aren't
very interested in taking a politically contentious trade vote. Already, 10
U.S. presidential candidates have pushed anti-TPP messages in their
campaigning.

Fast Track's unfortunate passage means that our members of Congress cannot
amend the TPP - but they absolutely can vote it down. And several members
who voted for Fast Track have since said that their support for the TPP
would be contingent on certain provisions (access to medicines,
environmental terms, etc.) that are likely not in the final deal.

We can still stop the TPP and foil all its attacks on jobs and wages,
affordable medicines, safe foods, Wall Street regulations, clean energy laws
and more.

Thanks for all you do.
