Carl,
You'll need to buy a VR Stream and subscribe to leftie podcasts and support
them on Patreon. The advantage is that you can hear the podcasts whenever you
wish. But you need WiFi and you need to learn how to text in the podcasts. It's
easy for the youngsters who are under 75 years of age.

Subject: [blind-democracy] Guess I should have sent more money
Radio channel KEXP-FM has featured a weekend program called, Mind Over Matter.
KEXP is a second radio channel owned by the University of Washington. I
listened to Alternative Radio on Saturday's at 6:00 A.M., and several programs
starting at 6:00 A.M. on Sunday mornings an going until 9:00 A.M. At 6,
Richard Wolff, followed by The Week's Under Reported News, and then TUC)Time of
Usable Consciousness).
Yesterday(Saturday) I turned on Alternative Radio, only to find the channel
full of some rather nondescript music. Today I checked the channel to be
certain I had it set correctly, and at 5:59 a very happy young man told me I
was about to be thrilled for the next three hours with some spritely tunes. He
went further, telling me with all his Sunday morning happy voice, that this was
the first of a new series.
Well, I can only assume that the fund raiser, just completed, missed its
target. I wonder if they'd refund the $20 I sent them? While I'm not a big
donor, I can't help but wonder what someone who matched the
$1,000 contribution, believing they would be listening to political programs as
opposed to schmooze music.
Fortunately there are several Public Broadcast Channels around my area. And
most of my favorite programs are carried. Not at the same times, but I can
still adjust. What troubles me is that some very informative programs are
being tossed off the air, probably because they are not generating enough
financial support. Our two local religious stations are still going full
bore. And they don't even do fund raisers. Both are supported by large
Christian organizations.
We Progressives don't have large, well heeled organizations to back our
programs.
So I did the next best thing while making the morning coffee, I found a channel
that plays 50's Country Music...Yaa Hoo!
