I wish I could remember all of the details I learned about the Maginsky
sanctions, but what I do remember is that the story is very different from
what the mass media has presented. I heard someone knowledgeable about what
led up to the sanctions on a podcast so I can't post the article. I wonder
why no one is talking about how Netenyahu has been found guilty of all sorts
of financial crimes in Israel, but continues as Prime Minister and no one in
the US is writing about his crimes or the crimes against humanity committed
by his government. Why is Putin a bad rich authoritarian while our country
is providing 4 billion dollars a year to Israel because it sees him as a
good rich criminal dictator?

Oh, yes--Trump wants to meet with the leader of North Korea, as he, too,
wants to be a dictator. It's why he so admires Putin--Putin has been
successful at making himself dictator in Russia and pretends that he owns
only a modest house and property when most of the money he's stolen and
extorted is invested in the States and other Western countries. It's why
Putin wants the Maginsky sanctions lifted--he can't retrieve his own wealth
as long as the sanctions are active.
