I want to suggest, to Carl especially, but to anyone else who reads this,
that you find this week's episode of Scheer Intelligence which is a
discussion he had in 2018 with the beat poet who just recently died at the
age of 101. I'd been skipping this because I thought that I'd be
uninterested in an interview with a poet. It turns out that he was a lot
more than a poet. Among other things, he owned a well known book store
called City Lights in Los Angeles where Bob Scheer began working in 1960.
They have memories of people whom you've heard about, of historical
happenings, and of visiting Cuba when Castro first came to power. You can
find this now on Scheerpost.com and tomorrow, it will be on a bunch of other
