This book was a New York Times bestseller in 2015 when it was released, and
I read it on Bookshare back then. However, it was never reviewed by the New
York Times or the Washington Post. It recently appeared on BARD. I suspect
that it was never reviewed by the Times or the Post because of the
contravercial information about Alan and John Foster Dulles and actions of
the US government that Talbot's research unearthed and that he then reported
in the book. One wonders why the book suddenly appeared on BARD. Perhaps
it's because David and his sister, Margaret, have just released a new book
which everyone is talking about. This book is about the 60's and some of the
leftist icons of that era. The book isn't on BARD yet, but it isn't as
controvercial as The Devil's Chessboard. I may reread that book again,
something I never do. But although I remember much of its content, I think
that after all of the things I've learned in the past six years from reading
and observing, I may understand more than I did previously.
