I heard both CNN and MSNBC calling what happened in Charlottesville terrorist
behavior on the part of the right-wingers who provoked the confrontations. And
a lot of the first prominent politicos to condemn the ramming of the crowd by
the nut-job in the silver Dodge were Republicans--except, of course, our dear
President, who refused to condemn the right-wingers as terrorists but tried to
indicate that the hate was apparently equal on "many sides."
Among those who were attending the rally were a troop of militia folks dressed
up in uniforms to try to make it appear they were local security personnel,
carrying batons, clubs, and so on as if they were real policemen. Tell me they
weren't intending to intimidate the counter-demonstrators!
