Roger,
No it didn't. But people are sounding very irrational these days when they talk
about this situation. I have this podiatrist who comes to my house every 6
weeks to try to take care of my feet. He has been, ever since I was referred to
him about 4 years ago, a kind gentle elderly man. He's still kind and gentle,
but when he talks about the rules put in place to protect people and about what
may happen in the next several months, he sounds irrational. I think people are
terrified and they are receiving too many confusing mixed messages from
politicians.

Subject: [blind-democracy] What?
I was just browsing Facebook and I came across this comment. I have no idea who
this person is. The comment read, "Ever since this pandemic began I have been
following the official advice and have stayed home.
Now I just found out that this virus is highly contagious. If it is highly
contagious then how much good has it done for me to stay home for all this
time?" Uh, did that make the least bit of sense to any of you?

βIt's natural to think that living things must be the handiwork of a designer.
But it was also natural to think that the sun went around the earth. Overcoming
naive impressions to figure out how things really work is one of humanity's
highest callings.
