I don't like him. I think he sounds like an egotistical snob. I think that
people who spend their time attacking the religions of other people are just as
obnoxious as the religious people who spend their time trying to convert me to
their beliefs. Furthermore, I think that this attack on religion diverts us
from what is really important and that is to work together for the wellbeing of
all people and the protection of all living things. It certainly doesn't matter
whether one is motivated by a belief in a deity or a philosophy about humanity
or whatever, so long as what one does is helpful to other people.
However, I think KPFA was wrong in canceling his appearance on one of their
programs because as disgusting as I think he is, they represent themselves as
free speech radio and free speech means precisely that, regardless of whether
or not we approve of its content.
