Times and conditions change. Your situation is unique to you, and
should be treated as such.
Of course the rehab teachers will mostly try to take the easy course
of action. But you should have some sort of Client Advocacy program
in New York State. For years we had a fellow named Jerry Johnson.
Jerry knew how to hold rehab programs feet to the fire. Doe NY have
such a program? Your need to remain independent is the most important
piece of business before the Commission, and they need to be reminded
of that fact, over and over. If not, they will push you into busy
work programs and leave you no better off than you are now.
