Abdulah,

There are different kinds of mental illness. Not everyone who is mentally
ill is incapable of driving a car. Not everyone who is mentally ill, will
kill people. People are different. The illnesses are different, and the
symptoms are different. It would be very unfair to treat mentally ill people
as if they were all the same, just like it's unfair to think that all blind
people are the same or that all Muslims are the same.

Miriam

Hi Alice

You are right

here in USA is profit more ipotent then people life.

I don't know why ordinary people elect government who talking profit front
save people's life?

I don't understand to why we have so many mental sic people on the street?

for me who is mental and don't have strong control from some one he or she
should bee in hospital, like in European country:

we should here to in USA:

why those people drive car?

I know one person who have diagnose like mental problem and that some one
have to take care about him, but doctor didn't take way drive license from
him,

he can and he do drive freely car,

even police give him ticket but state didn't rakte:

can you thinks people like this driving car?

making accident?

it means that doctor but state don't care who will bee killed!,

here is more ipotent profit then people's life's.

yes, similar to what several countries have done and these places have all
but eliminated deaths by gun violence, whether mass shootings, suicide,
homicide or "accident." Australia, Canada, Norway, Great Britain, to name a
few.but for example, when Australia said, that's it, enough already, the
Australian people agreed, and said, yes, enough carnage and bloodshed.but
here in the US, the profit-mongering gun industry and the right wing
paranoid nut cases scream, no, no, you can't take our guns.
they don't want anyone to take their guns, but they don't mind that guns are
taking the lives of innocent people by the thousands? And as for the
ridiculous argument that guns don't kill people, people kill people, well,
fine.then let people kill each other with rotten tomatoes, not assault
weapons that can kill scores of people in a matter of seconds...

Hi Allace

Talking abut gun control,

I gree that USA have to have gun control but control

like in form Yugoslavia if USa have to

or if want have progres about gun control.

First, evry one who have criminal history no gun,

sekend eny one who use drog no gun,

eny one who have mental problem no gun,

when I say no gun I mean he or she can't get licence for buy or have
gun.

in that case we will have very good progres.

who sale or buy iligul any gun very strong panishment for person who
sell and who buy.

so it's ok to ban that of which you do not approve?
believe me when i assure you that absolutely no one hates guns more
than I do.maybe there are those who hate guns just as much as I, but not
more.
Calling for such an undifferentiated ban on firearms, as much as we
may loathe them and what they can do in the wrong hands, still puts us right
in the camp of those who want to ban things we do like and/or believe
in.alcohol, abortion, gay marriage, free and unfettered voting rights, and
so on.
As for the 2nd amendment red herring, I say this:
" Until today, it has been understood that legislatures may
regulate the civilian use and misuse of firearms so long as they do
not
interfere with the preservation of a well-regulated militia."

So let's regulate and leave the nonexistent,, now defunct militia
alone as required. On Oct 3, 2015, at 11:29 AM, Carl Jarvis

Hi,

Sandy Hook. Columbine. Red Lake, Minnesota.
Essex, Vermont. Lancaster.
Aurora. Virginia Tech. How many more
innocent victims must die at the
hands
of an antiquated and oft-misinterpreted
amendment? Enough.

It's time to stop the violence.

Gun control doesn't have to mean no guns.
I'm not suggesting we take guns
away. I'm suggesting we put tighter controls
on acquiring and owning
them.

Gun show loopholes must be stopped.
Ammunition should not be sold online.
Mandatory wait periods should be enforced,
during which time a thorough
background check, psychological and medical
evaluation, and character
references should be completed.

More accountability should be placed in the
hands of retailers. When
patrons
refuse wait periods, authorities should be
notified. Training and testing
should be mandatory, as should a renewal
process that includes many of
the
above-mentioned evaluation terms.

Gun owners and non-gun owners need to come
together and agree on
regulations
that protect the right to own a firearm for
sane, responsible adults and
keep them out of the hands of the mentally
unstable.

I would hope that we could all agree to
submit ourselves to these terms
when
it's easier to go to a gun show and pick up
a firearm than it is to go to
the local pharmacy and buy cold medication.
Acquiring and owning a gun
should be at least as controlled as getting
a learner's permit, license,
and
privilege to drive a car.

Gun control alone is not the whole of the
solution, but it's a start. And
if
it keeps guns out of the hands of even one
mentally unstable person and
saves one sweet life, it's worth it.

That's why I signed a petition to The United
States House of
Representatives, The United States Senate,
and President Barack Obama,
which
says:

"How many more senseless and entirely
preventable shootings have to occur
before we do something about gun control?

As a citizen and constituent of this great
country, I am asking that you
take a firm stand and make a positive change
by restricting access to
guns
and saving lives."
