Good afternoon Karen,
Thank you for confirming this question raised by Members, as I believed this to
indeed be the case.
As you have said, as previously explained.
Although Community Councils are not currently Statutory Consultees or receive
direct notification of Street Trader License Applications, I think important
that we still follow publicly lodged applications and consider responses to
these applications during public consultation when they are within the
community area.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Smith

Hi,
Community Councils are not notified of Street Trader Applications. This has
been explained to the Community Council in the past.
Elected members are notified on hot food licence applications within the area
they represent.
Where there is a new hot food application these are advertised in the local
press which is the Licensing Committee’s Policy and not governed by
legislation. Anyone can comment on these applications within the deadline
provided.
I hope this helps to clarify the issue.

Meeting, 28th August 2019
Good evening William,
Thank you for sharing the included information and providing this update on
recent Licensing Applications and Developments.
There has been notification shared of both of the Applications described, to
which all representation should be able to be received in time for the Response
Dates.
However, would be very helpful as you have described to ensure that we can
continue to receive notification of any future Licensing & Street Trader
Applications moving forward.
Any further information you are able to receive would also be very welcome and
if needed I shall make sure that there is additional time focused to these
updates in the evening's meeting.
Similarly, although the Brew-Dog location is geographically located on the next
street over from the Community Council Boundary, I believe CP-CC have been
included to ensure that there is representation on any potential health, safety
or accessibility impact on the surrounding community(ies).
This is hopefully an item to which the City Centre Community Council will be
providing continued representation and feedback to, as a location within the
geographical boundary.
Thank you again, and looking forward to seeing you then!
Sincerely,
Jonathan Smith

BrewDog Union Street location supplementary application item 72 is no longer in
