Hello, Jonathan and members of CPCC.
I’m so sorry that I missed last week’s meeting.
I completely lost track of days and it passed me by completely..
Jonathan, can you confirm that the next meeting will take place on the last Wed
of January?
Again, sincere and honest apologies!
Pauline

Thanks, Paul.
I think it would be useful to include Police Scotland in any early doors
discussions. They regularly attend the community council meetings and have a
good understanding of the area and would be helpful in any security
discussions and place planning design.
I have already made the point to council officers that is particularly
important to include those residents who live on King Street and back onto
the site so would suggest that perhaps that can be factored into a plan.
Ordinarily a leaflet drop would be one means to reach out to those
households, perhaps that can still be done.
As a long standing believer in cooperative models it would also be worth
thinking about whether that type of thinking could be incorporated when
looking at possible plans for the future. It goes without saying that
sustainability is key to the success of whatever is decided for that space.
Kind regards,
Sandra

Dear all
I’ve not met everyone, but by way of introduction I am a Locality Inclusion
Manager with the Council and I cover the Central area of Aberdeen, which
includes the Errol area, covering both housing and locality work.
You will be aware of the ongoing work at Errol Place in rehousing tenants in
advance of the demolition of the properties due to their subsidence. The
rehousing work is nearing completion which will allow the demolition to
progress. I have had some enquires about the future use of the site for the
community and ideas suggested have included allotments and community woodland.
My intention is to organise a teams meeting to update everyone on the plans
and to discuss how best we can engage with the community to gather views on
the site to help develop a plan. The purpose of this email is to establish
whether I have identified the right people or if anyone else should be
invited - if I have missed anyone, please let e have their contact details
and I will include them in the meeting invite.
I plan to organise that meeting in the next couple of weeks so we can have a
plan for the new year to take this forward as the demolition works progress.
I know that Friday’s don’t suit everyone – if there are any other times I
should avoid, let me know and I’ll do what I can. I will be happy to meet
individually with anyone who may not be able to make the initial meeting.
If I can have any further contacts by the end of this week that would be
ideal and I’ll then get something organised.
Any questions in the meantime, please just let me know
Kind regards
Paul
