Dear Karen,
Further to the e-mail message forwarded below and originally sent on the 26th
February 2018, I can confirm that the representations made by Castlehill and
Pittodrie Community Council were not made as objections, but instead as
recommendations for the Licensing Board to consider in the operation and / or
granting of the license applications.
Theses responses were provided for 2 Applications, of:
AC0191, Silver Darling Restaurant North Pier Aberdeen AB11 5DQ
AC0291, Henry's Bar Cafe 4-6 Exchequer Row Aberdeen AB11 5BW
-
Hopefully this clarification will be helpful in the Board's decision, and with
the reassurance to both the Board and the applicants that the Community Council
has not and does not object, but instead provides these responses as
recommendations.
If there is any further information that would be helpful for, or from
tomorrow's meeting of the Licensing Board you are also very welcome to contact
William as Licensing Liaison and myself as Chairperson for Castlehill and
Pittodrie Community Council.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Smith

Subject: Licensing application
hi ther
We just like to say
In principle, the Community Council does not object to this application,
however we have a number of recommendations to advise on its consideration.'
This should mean that the responses are not considered as objections in what
the Licensing Forum or Board decides, but rather as advise in making their
decisions.
Even without being a full and formal objection, the advise and views we have
provided should be taken into account by the Licensing Forum and Licensing
Board as Community Councils are Statutory Consultees in the Licensing process,
in a similar way to Planning
So in closing Castle Hill and Pittodrie Community Council do not formally
object to the two licensing applications that we have submitted a response to.
However we advise that the concerns and views expressed are taken strongly into
consideration as to how the applications are approved, and with any associated
conditions'.
