Good morning William and all,
Thank you William for sharing this update with us on the recent Morrisons
Planning Application, to which we recently made formal representation.
It is disappointing to see that the decision reports 'Unconditional' Approval,
instead of what we recommended to be Conditions based on installation of
Lighting and CCTV safety measures, in around the store premises and grounds,
and in particular the ATM facing.
It is also disappointing that we have not yet received any response from
Morrisons head office, as per our recent two meetings where we put forward a
letter outlining the same concerns and recommendations, as part of and in
response to the planning application.
By way of an update and on a more productive note, I can report that I have
been in further discussion with Police Scotland Officers on these concerns, and
the reasoning behind our recommendations, not only to this Planning
Applications but over the course of recent years.
Police Scotland have agreed to speak to the Morrisons Management Staff in
regards to these concerns and to explore what steps can be taken to improve
safety, including our recommended Lighting and CCTV installations.
I shall be sure to keep you all up to date on this, and share any updates from
Morrisons, Police Scotland or Aberdeen City Council as they are received.
Best wishes to all meantime for your week ahead.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Smith
