Chip,
Oh good, I'm glad to hear that the tower and antennas are down and
finding good homes. I told her that I would try to do it and asked for
help from the club down there, but could not get anything going. The
distance was a problem, too. For the radios, I would go down there when
I could on my lunch hour while making deliveries in the area on Mondays,
but only if I had the time. I was afraid to start taking down a tower
that way.
I left the rotator control box behind in the house since the rotator was
on the tower. Did you get those items?
I sold a few of Jozef's radios, but still have several, including an
Icom IC-756 PRO III that is my primary rig.
I also have a beautiful 4 band Elecraft K1 that Joe built, but have not
put on the air yet.

I've known Jeanne for a while although never met Jozef other than some on the

down for the taking. I was in need of two or three sections of the Rohn tower
and told her I'd donate the antennas to CVARC since she didn't want any
payment. Was lucky to get Mike, N1JEZ to help this summer as it would have been
a major project otherwise. Bottom line- she got the tower cleared out, I got
some tower sections and CVARC go an HF Yagi and 2M Cushcraft (The Wide Band
model no less, so good on both low end and FM part of the band. Still hoping
that someone in the Club will make use of those antennas.

Chip,
When did CVARC get Jozef's 2 Meter antenna? I helped his widow
liquidate his radios, but I was not able to take down the tower nor
antennas.
