Reminder: tonight, December 3, we will again be running an informal 6 meter
test net.
The frequency will be 50.220 MHz USB. The net will begin at approximately 8:30
PM,
after the CVARC net on 146.625/145.47/146.82 ends.
Even if you don't have a 6 meter antenna, try tuning up your existing antenna.
Or think
about putting up a 6 meter dipole; it's only 10 feet long.
Next week, December 10, we will attempt a net on 2 meter SSB, frequency to be
announced, instead of 6 meters. If you can have a radio capable of 2 meter SSB,
please
join us on Dec 10. This includes popular radios such as the Icom IC-706,
IC-7000, IC-7100,
IC-746, Yaesu FT-857, FT-897, FT-991, and Kenwood TS-2000, as well as many
others.
If you have a horzontal beam, use it; if you can put up a small half-wave
horizontal
dipole for 2 meters, do it. If you only have a vertical or J-pole, give it a
try.
Work everyone that you can, and send an email back to me letting me know who you
were able to reach and communicate with.

bands
for reliable simplex communication across north central Vermont. Please join
