I am delighted to announce that Jessica KB1NBO will be the editor of our
revived and better-than-ever CVARC newsletter.
To make the newsletter a success, she will need articles, pictures, anything
that you would like to write. Here are some possible topics you could write
about, but use your imagination and write about whatever aspects of radio
interest you!
-- "Getting Started" articles: I would love to see
those new(er) to hamming write articles about the trials and
successes they've had as they get their first station
together
-- Interesting DX you have worked
-- A contest in which you participated
-- A piece of software you use that other hams would find useful
-- Antennas you have built or installed, and how well they worked (or didn't
work)
-- A conference or hamfest you attended, e.g. NearFest, Dayton, or the North
East Weak Signal Group
-- A hardware project you built (kit transceiver, switching system to do CW by
computer, outboard audio filters, QRP amp, anything!)
-- A technical topic where you have more knowledge than many hams (use of test
equipment, antenna theory, receiver or amplifier design, SMD construction, etc.)
Don't worry if your writing skills are not perfect. Jessica will be happy to
polish and edit your contribution, and you will have helped CVARC be a success.
So think about your radio interests, and start writing!
Articles can be sent directly to Jessica.
