I checked into the VA net on 3947 tonight and heard an interesting effect. The
net control in VA was S9+ to me, easy copy. I was easy copy to him. South
Dakota was easy copy to both of us. But the VA net control was struggling to
copy the stations within a couple of hundred miles of his station.
I am used to the "donut hole" effect of skip on the high bands, but I'm not
used to seeing it on 80.
160 is your friend. Put up that low band antenna now. :-)
