We extend a warm invitation for you to join us in Perth to participate in the
2017 Round Table Annual Conference.
The 2017 Round Table Conference provides three full days of presentations,
panel sessions, and workshops on technical, research, and practical issues
related to accessibility in education, employment and community contexts. There
will be ample opportunities for networking with key speakers, panel members and
attendees. Around the conference theme “Information Access - new modes,
technologies and opportunities”, presenters will explore and share information
on existing and new opportunities for people with print disabilities to access
information and communication technologies. The conference invites topics
relating to access for people with vision impairment as well as the broader
print disability sector, such as people with physical, perceptual,
developmental, cognitive, or learning disabilities.

The Australian Braille Authority (ABA) Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday
and the Round Table AGM on Sunday.

Funding
Applications for funding support from the Commonwealth Department of Social
Services, National Disability Conference Initiative.
Round Table on Information Access for People with Print Disabilities Inc (Round
Table) has been successful in obtaining a grant from the Commonwealth
Department of Social Services’s National Disability Conference Initiative
2016-17 grant, administered under the Disability, Mental Health and Carers
Programme. The purpose of the grant is to help offset the financial cost to
self-funded individuals with a print disability wishing to attend Round Table’s
2017 annual conference in Perth from 6 – 9 May 2017.
All applicants seeking a portion of the funding support made available by this
grant must:
· be an Australian resident.
· complete and lodge an application form before Friday 24 February 2017.
