Share your views on proposed amendments to the Activities Local Law 2009
Melbourne City Council has endorsed proposed amendments to the Activities
Local Law 2009 to provide a broader definition of camping and to better
balance the needs of all people who share public spaces in the city.
People with a disability have raised concerns about unattended items which
impede or limit ease of access on footpaths as well as to public amenities.
Often, these are belongings of people who are experiencing homelessness.
We want to hear what you think of the proposed amendments. You are invited to
a meeting to share your views:
Date: Thursday 9 March
Time: 1.30-3.00pm
Venue: Council Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Melbourne Town Hall, 120
Swanston Street, Melbourne
Afternoon tea will be provided.
Please advise us if you have any dietary or access requirements to ensure you
are able to fully participate.
