Congratulations to Christine Simpson, winner of Tammy Axelsen Lifetime
Achievement Award

Dear Blind Citizens Australia Members and Colleagues. At its annual conference
dinner held in Sydney last night, the Round Table on Information Access for
People With a Print Disability presented the Tammy Axelsen Lifetime Achievement
Award to long time BCA member, Christine Simpson.
The award was presented to Christine for her outstanding contribution to the
instruction in and promotion of braille as a tool to meet the information needs
of people who are blind or vision-impaired. Christine was also acknowledged for
her commitment to mentoring and acting as a role model to many of us over the
years, particularly women.
On behalf of members, board and staff of Blind Citizens Australia, I extend
sincerest congratulations to Christine on this well-deserved accolade and thank
her for her continuing contribution to our organisation.
