Subject: [dbaust] Fw: Invitiation to NDIS workshop at SARU
Hi everyone,
SARU is running second workshop about the NIDS. This workshop will be a follow
up to the one we ran in May. The workshop will be facilitated by Paul Dunn and
Kevin Stone from VALID and Leah Hobson from AFDO will also be speaking.
At the workshop we will brainstorm:
1. How self advocacy groups and self advocates can have their say in the
National Disability Insurance scheme
2. How important it is that self advocacy groups are still supported and not
forgotten when the NDIS starts
3. Raising the awareness of the importance of self advocacy
In addition to our guest speakers you will have the chance to break in groups
and brainstorm ideas, concerns and actions
When: Tuesday July 31st
Time: 10.30 am to 1.30pm
Where: Hayden Ray Smith room 4th Floor Ross House 247 Flinders Lane Melbourne
Snacks will be provided
Please let us know if you can come for catering numbers
