9:39 AM The Minister's Disability Advisory Council (MDAC) provides strategic 
advice to the Minister for Disabilities on issues relating to access and 
inclusion for people with disability in South Australia. MDAC currently has 
three vacancies and is seeking nominations from people with a lived experience 
of disability to become members of this dynamic group. People with intellectual 
or cognitive impairment, people from the Deaf Community and people from 
Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. 
These positions will be advertised in the media from tomorrow.

The Minister’s Disability Advisory Council(MDAC) currently has three vacancies 
and theMinister for Disabilities is keen to recruit peoplewith a lived

MDAC provides strategic advice to the Ministeron issues relating to access and 
inclusion forpeople with disabilities in South Australia.
Members of the council need to have aninterest in the broad range of issues 
ofimportance to people with disabilities andtheir families/carers in this state.
The Minister encourages people withintellectual or cognitive impairment, 
peoplefrom the Deaf Community and peoplefrom Culturally and Linguistically 
Diversebackgrounds to apply for these positions.
Applications must address the selectioncriteria, contained in the ‘Information 
forApplicants’ package:• interest in the rights of people with disabilities• 
willing to develop ideas and strategies thataddress the barriers encountered by 
peoplewith disabilities• able to provide practical advice thatreflects the 
views of a broad range ofpeople with disabilities• able to work as part of a 
team with awillingness to listen, contribute, debateand consider the issues 
under considerationby the council• willing to be involved in 
communityconsultation processes.
