NDIS is important to all people with disabilities because there are people not
having their needs met.
More importantly their Human Rights met with a disability.
The deaf blind community face isolation on a daily basis. Not being able to
have access to communication due to lack of funding to have communication needs
met such as interpreters / support workers / and other communication needs
means the deaf blind people are blocked and isolated from the community and to
be able to fully participate in life.
This includes another service such as home care some councils do not provide it
and this would allow funding for deaf blind people to utilise this service as
well.
NDIS would break down the barriers of ISOLATION.
This includes the whole spectrum of life needs being met for a person with a
disability.
NDIS would provide equal access and fairness and dignity and respect that any
human being can receive the services hassle free and be fully funded for.
Put yourself in someones shoes to have no services available, sit at home, in
fear of facing another injury if they want to go out to do something such as
going to the gym.
A deaf blind person does not have the EARS and EYES provided for them for
example a support worker. A meeting cancelled because there is not enough
funding for interpreters.
NDIS will BREAK DOWN the BARRIERS of ISOLATION and give every human being a
RIGHT to life the WAY they NEED to.
