Dear Neighbours
We are have had our schedule from Veolia changed to an early Saturday
morning glass collection which is the noise that some of you are
experiencing - I have lodged a complaint to ask for either a different day
during the week or a later weekend time - I will let you know the
outcome.
With regards to large amounts of household waste being deposited in our
bins it is an ongoing situation and i will keep an eye on it and use our
CCTV when more has been deposited. It is causing a problem as the waste is
often going into our glass bins which then veolia won't remove and so we
are left with overflowing smelly bins - not good for anyone - we have
contacted veolia 3 times now to collect these bins but so far nothing -
hoping for Monday. Sorry for any inconvenience - I am trying!

Hi - it sounds like it was a very pleasant visit to Brocco on the Park.
An extra bin(s) in and near the park is a good idea if they are going to
get emptied. Reading Tina's email she seems to have been very keen to
ensure that we understand it is not her fault. I wonder what she is doing
to address her concerns.
With regard to the bottles, it is our experience that glass bottles are
emptied into the bins outside of the hours that Tina has set out out. An
example was this morning - I heard it and looked at my watch and it was
5.55am. It also sounded like someone was moving the wheeled bin. As and
when I next notice this I will make a note and try and pop out and see
what's happening - it might be worth others who live near to Brooco on the
Park to doing same so that we can try and find out what is happening, when
and how often.

A very nice morning in the sunshine at Brocco on the Park and a warm
welcome from Tiina, with freshly baked warm scones as well.
It occurred to me that what may be happening with people putting rubbish
in the bins for Brocco On The Park is that people are coming out of the
park laden with rubbish because the park bins are full or not on their
route out and on their way back to their cars parked on our streets the
first bins they see are of course those for Brocco On The Park.
So, why not have a bin at the bottom of Brocco On The Park in the little
'nook' at the boundary between Brocco On the Park and the park itself?
We have some community money to spend and this might be a good way to use
it up.

PS: The little 'nook' I am referring to was where one of the original
entrances to the park was before the roundabout was built and the river
diverted - one of the gate pillars is still there, embedded into the wall
of Brocco On the Park. The river used to more or less follow the path to
the new park entrance and then the pavement at the side of the roundabout.

We are having ‘others’ using our bins on a very regular basis and using
the wrong ones to make matters worse eg putting a full bin load of general
leaking waste into bottle bin twice over the weekend – they also fly tip on
top of our bins which is causing a potential vermin hazard. Today’s load
was disposable barbecue stuff and food used at the barbecue - so we always
know it is not our waste.
We have had two phone calls recently complaining we empty our bottles
during the night and early morning – this is definitely *not true* as we
would not dare to wake our hotel guests and all our staff are trained to
only empty bottles mid morning or mid afternoon/early evening. Perhaps
others are using our bottle bins.
I just want the Ecco group to know we are being responsible neighbours
but also to be on the look out for others using our bins to deposit rubbish
as this can’t continue due to environmental issues.
