Thank you, Chriss, for sharing the news - we went to see it in the morning,
and it was absolutely stunning!!
Totally unfazed by its admirers, the little chap put on a right circus
performance and didn't at all seem to mind the lack of privacy, having its
elevenses in public... We spent a cheerful half hour watching, taking
photos and admiring the acrobatics and the colours!
It was a first for both of us: Ramen's first kingfisher in this country,
Fides' first ever - really exciting!
How about the photography group having its next outing there...? :)

If you walk up to the top pond in Endcliffe Park at the

Rustlings Rd entrance and be patient you might just see
what we saw
this morning!!
A beautiful Kingfisher is a regular visitor from 10.30am
onwards (so
a regular photographer told me)
We watched him fishing for and catching his mid morning
snack! so go
and see for yourself!!! you might even meet up with
friends doing
the same thing!! just around the corner there is a
fabulous coffee
shop on Oakbrooke Road - La Cupolla I think it is called
!
