Subject: [eccotalk] Walks with Gordon and Oscar the dog
We have a dog, Oscar, for most of January, so I will be taking him for a
walk every day, and you might like to join me from around 9.30/10am for
a morning walk. Fair weather only.
Dates available are:
Friday 11th, Saturday 12th, Thursday 17th, and Friday 18th.
Walk options are:
Porter Valley south side via Bingham Park, Whitely Woods, 'The Wastes',
Meadow Farm, Whitley Hall to Forge Dam Café and return along the valley.
Porter Valley north side via Crosspool, Ranmoor, the Redmires Conduit,
Fulwood to Forge Dam Café and return along the valley.
To Café no. 9 in Nether Edge and return along Brincliffe Edge, and then
through Greystones and Bingham Park
82 bus to Whirlow and through Ecclesall Woods and 81 bus back from
Millhouses.
82 bus to Whirlow and up the Limb Valley to Ringinglow, then down to
Forge Dam Café and return along the valley.
and two possible longer walks:
10am 721 bus from Brocco Bank to Fox House and along Houndkirk Road to
Ringinglow and down to Forge Dame Café and back along the valley.
10am 721 bus from Brocco Bank to Fox House and across Blacka Moor to
Totley and the Cricket Inn, then to Dore and 82 bus back.
Let me know if any of these options appeals (or suggest a walk yourself
and I will plan it) and when you are available, and off we go!
