Do you believe in the power of technology to transform education? Do you
think young children take too many tests when they could be learning from
educational games? Unfortunately, most apps provide little more than
drill-based worksheets, do nothing to address conceptual understanding, and
ignore the power of learning analytics and stealth assessment to figure out
what students understand. *Kids deserve better.*

Teachley <http://www.teachley.com> is an educational technology company
founded to disrupt education in the earliest grades. Recently awarded $1.05
million in grants from the Federal Department of
Education<http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2013/05/10/games-win-big-education-grants-competition>,
Teachley incorporates the latest cognitive science research to create apps
that promote efficient strategies and deep learning. Our first app, Addimal
Adventure, focuses on single-digit addition strategies and will be released
in June. Our apps will incorporate data mining algorithms to adapt the
content and provide teachers with formative assessment data, two important
trends in educational technology.

Based in New York City, we are a young, passionate team of educators,
cognitive psychologists and game designers who love what we do. Our
creative process is collaborative and inspired by our work with kids. *We’re
looking to expand our team!* This is an excellent opportunity to get
involved early to help build a startup company that will disrupt the
current education system and change how children learn.

on back-end development and experience working with front-end product
