Advanced Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (Tenure-Eligible)
of Learning Sciences at the University of Arizona

The Department of Educational Psychology (EDP) located in the College of
Education (COE) at the University of Arizona invites applications in the
area of Learning Sciences. This is for an Advanced Assistant, Associate, or
Full Professor position that is designed to accommodate a broad range of
specializations within the department’s core focus on learning, motivation,
and development in social historical contexts. The position begins August
2020.

The successful candidate will have experience investigating
innovative learning environments and a generative approach to advancing
theory and knowing in the learning sciences. Specifically, we are looking
for someone who utilizes a broad array of methods in researching authentic
learning environments emphasizing culture and context. The University of
Arizona provides many opportunities for interdisciplinary research
and collaboration with faculty in STEM education, digital literacies,
social sciences, cognitive science, and other disciplines.

Current faculty are seeking a future direction for the department in which
Learning Sciences and Educational Psychology are integrated. Thus, the
successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiastic involvement in planning
and implementing programmatic changes to achieve this desired future.
