We are currently developing a new approach to engaging and educationally 
effective tablet based games.  This position requires a candidate with strong 
design skills, mastery of Javascript and a passion for developing educational 
software.

Responsibilities

 *   Implement and refine tablet-based games.
 *   Collaborate on innovative solutions with other software engineers, 
cognitive scientists and QA engineers to develop the best in class 
instructional tools on schedule and within budget.
 *   Collaborate with designers and cognitive scientists to develop and refine 
leveling and individual adaptation.
 *   Implement modifications and improvements to games as suggested by 
playtesting, data collection and field experimentation.

Requirements

 *   Bachelor's Degree in CS or equivalent experience.
 *   Proven experience withthe HTML5 and Javascript (1.5x+) to implement 
customized, interactive interfaces.
 *   Strong software design skills.
 *   Minimum of 2 years experience in Object Oriented programming (Java, C++, 
C# or equivalent).
 *   High commitment to quality.
 *   Team oriented.
 *   Self directed.
 *   Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 *   Experience with complete software development lifecycle, including 
requirement assessment and QA testing is desired.
 *   Experience with commercial software development is a plus.
 *   Experience with game development and/or educational software development 
is a plus.

Job Description

A research programmer is responsible for implementing software to assist 
researchers in conducting field experiments and statistical analyses. Since 
research projects are often externally defined, the research programmer needs 
to be flexible and willing to learn new things.

Requirements

 *   B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience
 *   3+ years Java programming
 *   Strong collaborative skills
 *   Experience with Python, Javascript, Lisp or other programming languages is 
a plus
 *   Experience with artificial intelligence programming is desirable
 *   Knowledge of statistics is a plus
