Good of you to volunteer to be the arse-end Margaret. Looking at yesterdays
footage of the first trial, it seem there were 2 arses in one horse.
Let me know when it suits you and we could do some more trials. Anybody else
that fancies a trial run, to hone your equestrian skills, timing, rhythm,
choreography, etc, let me know, Ian ad I have the panto horse costumes.

Hi
Quick notes from this weeks meeting- i've just emailed people I think
might want to know what happened. Will edit down and put a version on
the website.
Remember it's every second tuesday now, so next one is 15th, then
29th, then Sept 5th then that's it. 3 more meetings.
Present: Ian, Cliff, David, Gordon, Jeff, George.
1. Gazebo's - Debbie: how many do we have? We need 1 for the raffle and
maybe 2 for the bakeoff. need any more?
I want to use the raffle gazebo also for the cocktail bar, so will
relocate it to the other end of the marquee and do it up with some
tinsel curtains, cliff to make a bar - during the day it can host raffle
prizes, then nighttime be used as the bar. If we did need to buy a new
gazebo could we maybe buy one with sides (otherwise going to work out
how to hang sheets to make 'walls')?
2. We've got some eco plates made from sugarcane, bamboo and eco cups
-all compostible, brought some out for people to have a look at (shame
no one turned up eh lol).
3. Cocktail bar - Can we save jam jars to use as cocktail glasses? Can
we think about Cocktail recipes that are simple to do? I've been
straining blackberries for juice and soaking elderberries in vodka (it
smells like port already!) Any more street ingredients? Also who's going
to take part in supervising the bar (8pm onwards)
4. Lights etc - all being ordered.
5. Straw Bales - asked Jeff and George to speak to Bridget who
apparently knows Mary who knows about bales ...
6. Games props - Laurence, do we need to buy anything for the kids games
(medals, etc) - if so could you let us know whats needed asap.
7. Gordon's ordered 2 x panto horse costumes - *update* they've arrived
- will work on getting Jeff and Cliff to trial one out at some point :-)
8. Dressing box - Cliff can sort out a box, will need donations of
dressing up items. Steph and Eoin have confirmed they're away weekend of
the party but might be able to loan some items for dressing up.
9. Need to think about Raffle prize collection door to door stuff. No
rush as we only have to store them - can we leave collection until the
week of the party? Day before even!?
10. Bouncy castle. we got the bouncy castle catalogue from the
coppermill pub - will show Bob.
Are we doing this? - so far only Nicky has come forward to offer to
supervise.
11. Raffle rota on the day - can we all do a turn to really flog them?
Who's volunteering to steer the raffle and make sure it goes quickly!
12 Don't forget we've got up to £500 funding but need receipts to be
able to claim it. Cliff keeping track of all that stuff for now.
