To extend your list of examples, Barry.
I've been teaching an Alice Munro short story (Gravel) to a group of
retired adults in Ra'anana and in a dialogue there she uses: "drownded"
when a little boy is speaking...
Rhymes with founded : )
Go explain *that *one!! ; )
