Dear ETNIers, It has come to my attention that I may have offended my colleague Esther Revivo when I wrote my response to her email last week, regarding the discussion on the new Lit program. I would like to take the opportunity to apologize in the same venue that the unintended offense took place (as well as privately) and explain that there was never any intention to offend a woman for whom I have only the highest of respect. She teaches under difficult circumstances, plodding bravely on even in the shadow of Kassams, and gives her students the very best she has. Her students had only love and warm praise for her when I met them personally last year, while testing the oral exams. The CAPS lock - as I explained on ETNI was because I thought my response would be interspersed with her text, and since on ETNI there is no differentiation of colors, that is how I thought it would be easiest to see what I was writing in MY voice- as opposed to hers. NO offence OR shouting intended (not here, either ;). I hope she can forgive me for being too lazy, when I saw that there WAS no issue of interspersing my text with yours, to go back and retype. When I came to speak at her school, I did not for a moment think that she had escaped out of laziness or lack of dedication to her job- and I am sorry if it came out looking like that. It is funny how - in absence of nonverbal cues - intentions in emails can sometimes be misconstrued. Esther - please accept my humble apology. I may not agree with your opinion on the new literature program, but I never intended to disparage you in any way. So let's agree to disagree on this one, (the lit program) yet remain happily coexisting coworkers in debate! Sincerely Adele Laugh and the world laughs with you, snore and you sleep alone. ----------------------------------------------- ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org or - http://www.etni.org.il ** ** for help - ask@xxxxxxxx ** ** to post to this list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** -----------------------------------------------
