APPI, the Portuguese English Teachers' Association, the British Council, and WordPowered, are holding a seminar in Coimbra in Portugal on " Language and Literature in the English Language Classroom" this Saturday. In addition to various workshops in the afternoon, author Melvin Burgess and poet Francesca Beard will be doing a Q&A session and performing some of their works in the morning. Melvin and Francesca will be present as avatars on the British Council's Second Life island on the Main Grid (for over 18s), and will be answering and performing in real time in Second Life. PARTICIPATION: To participate in the event, join us at the British Council Isle in Second Life.
