[etni] Chanuka songs - a new one from the original Maccabeats + my 8th graders' masterpiece

To celebrate the last day before vacation, today my students arrived with
their recorded Chanuka song to the tune of Gangnam Style. They wrote lyrics
for all 3 minutes and 40 seconds and came to blast the song in the hall
during recess. One of the writers was a native English speaker who made
aliya two years ago and wrote that we "eat latkes with sour cream and
applesauce". That didn't go over well, but the dancing and singing did.
Upon arriving home, I opened my mail and saw that the original Maccabeats
had uploaded their new, original song for Chanuka (still Acapella). They've
decided to cut back on parodies.
