To all the great, devoted English teachers on ALL levels, Hi and Happy Passover. I just had to put my two cents in about on-line versus magazines. I spend so MANY hours at the computer with personal email and the new trend of getting most of my students' work on-line and surfing AANDDDDDDD, so I must say that I enjoy taking my Forum with me to read on the bus, waiting for appointments, sitting in my garden, curling up on the sofa or bed etc. I truly hope that it will continue to be sent as a magazine. However, on-line does have its benefits and I read the RAG too. If the Forum is posted I hope that it will be in addition to receiving the magazine. Both these publications offer a wealth of information, which I use for my personal interests and share with my student teachers. Keep up the great work Sincerely, An appreciative English teacher IRIS SHENKMAN David Lloyd <david@xxxxxxxx> wrote: ETNI would be happy to work together with ETAI in putting out a magazine that would both be sent to ETAI members in a printed version, and posted on the ETNI site in an online version. We created the Etni Rag in answer to the many calls for an online publication that would reach the widest audience possible, as well as offer all of the things that an online publication provides (Naomi spoke of many of these elements in her message, below). We only did so when it became clear that ETAI had no intention of putting out an online version of its Forum because of membership considerations. As always, our concern is to provide the best possible service to the English teaching community as a whole. We are open to all suggestions that will help in bringing this about.
